My Name is Dianne and I’m the owner of Lake Cottage Soap & Gifts and a stay at home Mom . When my youngest started high school I knew that I would soon be an empty nester so I decided to start participating in Craft Shows again. I had lots of people stop by my booth and compliment my things but very few bought anything. Something had to change but I had no idea what so I prayed for God to show me what I could offer that people would want to buy. The next show was a small show where again I received lots of compliments but no buyers. As I watched the other vendors I noticed that two venders were getting most of the sales. One offered Bath Bombs and the other Offered Wax Melts. This was the answer to my prayer. I then realized most everyone liked things that not only looked good but they wanted things that smelled good and made them feel good. I decided to try my hand at making soap, something that I had always wanted to make but was afraid to because of one necessary ingredient, sodium hydroxide. Once I made the first batch of soap I found that I enjoyed making it. I have since added other products. Since I started making soap and other body products I have had great success selling at Craft shows
